Eliza Caroline Pharis (January 1, 1842 — July 15, 1891)
George
W. Miller was born in about 1845 in Kentucky. His wife Eliza Ann Pharis[1]
was born on January 1, 1842
in Cumberland County in south central Kentucky, adjacent to the
Tennessee border.
The
family did not stay long there, moving west and, by the time of the 1860 census,
there lived in Hickman County,
That census showed Eliza C. Pharis as an eighteen-year old female in the household of her father, Samuel Farris (sic).[2] The
