[2]  There is a minority view that while “reeve” and it’s plural reeves are the source of some of the  

      present-day Reeves name, the word “reeves” itself was a separate term meaning the border or edge 

      of a woods or  hill and that most of the present-day Reeves are derived from that meaning.
